What is Dementia?
Dementia is a general term (not a specific disease) that describes a group of symptoms which negatively impacts memory severe enough to interfere with daily life.
Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia with 60-80% of cases, while Vascular Dementia is the second most common dementia type. Nevertheless, there are many other conditions that cause symptoms of dementia. As opposed to Alzheimer’s, some forms of dementia are reversible.

2) Don't dine alone Did you know that those who share meals with others eat less than those who eat alone? Dining together also has the positive side effect to foster social interaction and engagement. You are not living in a community, or with your family? Don't worry! You can plan to eat with your friends and family at least several times per week!
3) Fight afternoon fatigue Have you every felt tired after lunch? There you go - this is the afternoon fatigue, which is well-known among adults. We recommend drinking a glass of water, and eating food which is high in antioxidants. This will help you to fight the fatigue and get more energy.
4) Dance like there is no tomorrow Research has shown that adults, which exercise regularly are 60% less likely to get dementia. This is why getting your daily dose of exercises is very important. It increases oxygen to the brain and releases a protein that strengthens cells and neurons. You get a fantastic workout from dancing, plus it will help your memory. If you don't like to dance, you can try Tai Chi or Yoga. Both sports will help you with your balance and keep your muscles working.5) Break routine Having the same routine from Monday to Sunday, over and over again? You might want to change that! Why? Because routine limits brain stimulation. You can easily break your routine by introducing new food. Have you tried Avocado yet? What you can also do is to introduce a new way of eating your food! What about trying to eat with chop sticks next time you make rice?! What also helps is to take a different route to the grocery store or including new daily tasks into your routine.
