What is Dementia?
Dementia is a general term (not a specific disease) that describes a group of symptoms which negatively impacts memory severe enough to interfere with daily life.
Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia with 60-80% of cases, while Vascular Dementia is the second most common dementia type. Nevertheless, there are many other conditions that cause symptoms of dementia. As opposed to Alzheimer’s, some forms of dementia are reversible.

Ingredients:

1 Cup diced onion

1/2 pound ground turkey

1 cup brown rice - pre cooked

1 1/4 cup chicken broth

2 cups salsa
-
2 teaspoons taco seasoning

1 can black beans or pinto beans, drained

3/4 cup fresh corn kernels
-
2 cups diced tomatoes
-
1/2 cup green onions
-
Salt
-
Ground black pepper
Yield: 6 servings
Directions:​​

Cook the onions in a skillet over a medium heat for around 30secs then add the Turkey. Cook till the turkey is no longer pink. Drain any fat from the skillet.

Add rice to the skillet, toast for a minute.

Stir in the broth, rice, one cup of salsa, one cup of tomatoes, taco seasoning, and corn.

Bring to the boil then simmer on a lower heat until rice is tender.

Turn off heat, mix in the cheese until melted, and season with salt and pepper.

Pour into bowls to serve and add remaining tomatoes, salsa and green onions.
Add Guacamole or an Egg.
